The Israel Airports Authority, which was established in the 1970s, is the authority in charge of operating civilian airports in Israel, with the Authority’s offices at Ben-Gurion Airport. Under its auspices are the airports: Eilat, Herzliya, Rosh Pina, Haifa, Ovda, Sde Dov and of course Ben Gurion Airport.

The functions of the Airports Authority are the maintenance, operation, development and management of the aforementioned airports, in addition to planning, execution and construction on sites and the provision of ancillary services, while paying maximum attention to the safety of people, goods, aircraft, buildings and equipment.
